<div>The <strong>Operations Manager</strong> helps advance this mission by leading the day-to-day execution of the Finance & Operations department, ensuring the organization's operational, financial, and people processes are carried out with excellence. By creating structure, driving accountability, and continuously improving systems and processes, this role enables the ministry to operate efficiently and scale effectively in support of its mission.<br><br></div>
<div>Working closely with the Vice President of Finance & Operations, the Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Operations department, managing operational initiatives, finance and people operations, and administrative systems, while helping translate strategic priorities into effective execution. As a trusted operational partner, this role ensures the department's daily operations run smoothly and efficiently while building the structure, processes, and operational excellence that enable ExploreGod to maximize its ministry impact.<br><br></div>
<div><br><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></div>
<div><br><strong>Operational Excellence & Process Improvement</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Manage the day-to-day operations, projects, and recurring workflows of the Finance & Operations department to ensure priorities are executed effectively.</li>
<li>Develop and continuously improve operational processes, SOPs, documentation, and tracking systems.</li>
<li>Manage contracts, NDAs, organizational agreements, and key administrative records.</li>
<li>Monitor action items, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely follow-through.</li>
<li>Support implementation of new systems, tools, and operational processes.</li>
<li>Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accountability, and operational excellence.</li>
</ul>
<div><br><strong>Finance Operations</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the Accounts Payable and finance processes in partnership with the outsourced accounting team.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for staff questions related to Ramp, purchasing, reimbursements, and finance processes.</li>
<li>Oversee finance systems, operational workflows, and related documentation.</li>
<li>Partner with internal staff and external service providers to resolve operational issues and improve finance processes.</li>
<li>Support Finance & Operations projects and other departmental initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<div><br><strong>People Operations</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of people operations in partnership with the outsourced HR provider.</li>
<li>Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of BambooHR functionality, employee self-service tools, and HR operational processes.</li>
<li>Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities in partnership with the outsourced HR provider.</li>
<li>Support employment documentation, employee communications, required training, and employee engagement initiatives.</li>
<li>Contribute to people operations projects and continuous process improvements.</li>
</ul>
<div><br><strong>Project Management & Execution</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Partner with the Vice President of Finance & Operations to execute departmental priorities and strategic initiatives.</li>
<li>Develop and manage project plans, implementation timelines, and operational trackers.</li>
<li>Coordinate meetings, action items, and follow-up to ensure projects and priorities remain on track.</li>
<li>Lead cross-functional projects, proactively identify operational roadblocks, and drive initiatives through completion.</li>
</ul>
<div><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></div>

<li>Bachelor's degree preferred.</li>
<li>5+ year’s experience in operations, project management, finance operations, HR operations, or executive operations.</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational, project management, communication, and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.</li>
<li>A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with ExploreGod’s ministry mission.</li>
<li>Experience with Google Workspace; BambooHR and Ramp preferred.</li>

Operations Manager

Together with our partners and participants, we cultivate communities where people are progressively seen, accepted, challenged, and supported.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>GENERAL SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Oversees and directs the overall administration of Campbell Lodge. Is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, including program, procedures, guidelines, food service, maintenance, and safety &amp; security. Manages and monitors staff. Has primary responsibility for community relations and interagency events. Also serves as a spiritual leader for Campbell Lodge in spreading the message and commission of Jesus in Matthew 25. Ensures that the overall plans/goals adhere to the SMH mission statement, which is “providing a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.”</p><p>St. Matthew’s House is a faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP TASKS</strong></p><ul><li>Oversight of Annual Budget for Campbell Lodge facility</li><li>Monitors and approves AP Invoices and P-Card expenses</li><li>Responsible for oversight and supervision of all Program Staff, Security Staff, and the Case Management Team</li><li>Maintains and communicates the weekly staff schedule</li><li>Conducts audits of documentation ensuring continuity and accuracy of notes</li><li>Oversees and maintains proper protocol and adherence to all policies and procedures as they relate to the shelter programs</li><li>Ensures proper maintenance of Campbell Lodge property</li><li>Maintains an open door policy with staff for listening, teaching and praying as need arises </li><li>Coaches staff and clients through personal example and discipleship</li><li>Performs annual reviews for all shelter Program Staff, Security Staff and Case Management Staff. Recommending pay increases and performance improvement plans if and when appropriate</li><li>Ensures that program fees remain current and waivers are properly processed</li><li>Approves appropriate housing for each client and makes appropriate changes as needed</li><li>Plan and coordinate onsite meetings and classes as needed </li><li>Obtains and utilizes volunteers and workshop presenters as needed </li><li>As needed, attends meetings with representatives of other agencies to keep the community up to date regarding SMH, as well as keeping SMH up to date on services provided through outside agencies</li><li>Maintains and develops relationships with outside vendors</li><li>Any additional tasks assigned by the Sr. Director of Programs and Housing</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.  </p><p><strong>Experience:</strong> 4+ years of experience in a non-profit ministry working directly with homeless individuals.  </p><p><strong>Confidentiality:</strong> Works with confidential information – account numbers </p><p><strong>Mental/Visual Demands</strong>: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.</p><p><strong>Physical Demand:</strong> The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands </p><p>and arms, squatting, bending, and constantly moving on a regular basis.
